hello world
So I'm back. I realize I have not blogged in about a month, but I haven't really had much to say lately. I'm not working right now, instead I am living off of your hard-earned money through EI. I have been reading a bit, trying my hand at some writing, which I eventually will post on here, watching lots of James Bond movies and searching for other work.
I did not lift my self-imposed cyberspace silence to tell my audience how boring my life is right now however. I have two things to say.
First, I saw something funny today. I was at the Walmart/Canadian Tire at the corner of Highways 2 and 53, and I left via the newly paved road behind the Walmart. There is a new subdivision going up there, and the catchphrase on the sign proclaimed "Own a piece of Ancaster history!" What the deuce?? How can one of those brand new cardboard boxes that people call homes nowadays be considered a part of Ancaster history? Or do they mean you can be a part of destroying the farmland? Maybe there is an Indian village or burial ground underneath that you can be a part of ripping up...(cough cough Redeemer). I can't believe anyone would fall for that catch phrase. It wouldn't make me spend 400,000 on a crappy house.
Secondly, I am asking for some audience participation. I am writing a story. Let me set the stage for a second. I was talking with my good buddy the Jupe Box (Jon Bokkee) about my writing, and I said "I could have wrote Harry Potter, but J.K. Rowling came up with the idea first." Jon replied "Well, write another one. You can call it Mark Harry Depotter." (For those that do not know my family, my younger brother's name is Mark Harry DeBoer). So I'm going to give it a try.
However, I need some help. I am looking for some ideas as to what Mr. Depotter can do in this story. I am proposing that I post the character development, and you all can give me suggestions for some plot, which I will work into the story. I think that could be fun and can help me fill my days.
So, That's all I have to say for now. I am still alive, in case any were wondering, and I promise to blog more. Although I have promised that before and haven't lived up to it. See y'all later!
